Aristasia is not a religion: it is a world. An all-feminine world. And like any other world, religion and spirituality are among the things you will find in it. Like any other world, some Aristasians would consider themselves highly spiritual or religious: others would not. Most, perhaps, are somewhere in between.
Aristasian spirituality, though, can provide a source of spiritual comfort and guidance for women who are alienated by patriarchal religion but dubious of the looseness of the "new age".
To sum up the many dimensions of Aristasian religion in one page would be more than presumptuous. But let us try to give a very broad outline.
At
its simplest, Aristasians recognise God the Mother, or as we name Her, Dea.
For some, theology would go no further than this simple "deism".
In the west, however, most Aristasians would recognise not only the solar Mother who is "too bright for us to look upon", but also Her lunar Daughter who mediates that light to the world.
Beyond this, most Aristasians would recognise the seven Great Janyati, or Angels, who correspond to the seven ancient planets: Sai Raya, the Sun; Candre, the moon; Thamë, Jupiter; Sushuri, Venus and so forth. All of them are feminine, of course, and each of them manifests certain Divine qualities that govern all things in the manifest world. If Dea is the Divine unqualified, the Janyati are Her manifestation in the forms of Her different Qualities. In the East, some Aristasians worship the Divine more or less exclusively through one of Her Forms. In the West this is unusual, but many people have a special devotion and affiliation to a particular Janya.
Where spirituality begins or ends in Aristasia is probably less clear than it is in Telluria. It is not seen as a thing entirely separate from everyday life. The concepts represented by the Janyati come into life in many ways that are not specifically "religious". Wherever there is love, for example, there is Sushuri. Wherever there is harmony and order, there is Thamë.
